Alison Boyce

Alison uses silver, enamel, found objects, wood, textiles and semi precious beads to make mostly wearable pieces of work. She likes to experiment with different processes and materials, to question traditional ideas of preciousness.

Nearly 30 years ago Alison went to live in a small seaside town in the Alentejo, Portugal. She found a piece of metal on a sandy track, the shells on the beach and assembled a necklace. she wore it constantly and ignored the bemused looks…. She still loves it.

Alison has always been attracted to old, timeworn objects and surfaces.
